About Orange Poetry Africa
We produce live shows, films and publications, and work with artists and organisations to bring African stories to audiences. Based in Nigeria, Built for Africa.
Our story
Director Ebiotu founded Orange Poetry on 31 December 2019. Formal operations began in 2022, with a focus on helping spoken-word poetry reach more people.
That work grew into live gatherings, poetry films and creative commissions. Today, Orange Poetry Live Show, Orange Poetry Film Festival and Harmattan Poetry Xperience give audiences different ways to encounter the work.
Our ambition is to support artists beyond a single performance: better recordings, publishing opportunities and stronger working relationships. Some of that support is available now; Artist Pathways is still in development.

Director Ebiotu
A studio producer, film director and media strategist, Ebiotu founded Orange Poetry in 2019. He leads its creative direction, films and live productions, alongside its developing artist-support work.

Ebiotu Tamarakuro—known publicly as Director Ebiotu—founded Orange Poetry on 31 December 2019.
The platform began formal operations and expanded its work with poets, audiences and creative communities.
Media, talent and cultural commissions included youth, summit and institutional programmes.
The recurring Live Show, first Film Festival and poetry-film production established a visible public record.
Slams, musical theatre and seasonal experiences widened the work across Abuja and Lagos.
We continue producing shows, films and publications while developing longer-term support for artists.
