This notice explains how Orange Poetry Ltd. (Orange Poetry Africa), based in Nigeria, handles information collected through this website and its linked services.
When you contact us
We use your name, email, optional organisation and message to respond to your request, discuss a project or help with an order. Messages and acknowledgements are delivered by email and may remain in the team’s email records. Sending an enquiry does not subscribe you to marketing.
Please share only what is needed. Do not send passwords, card numbers, security codes or sensitive personal documents through the enquiry form.
Artist and volunteer information
Application forms collect the details listed on each form, such as contact information, availability and relevant experience. Artist onboarding also includes a biography, media links, permissions and private working information. We use these to review your application, communicate with you and, where agreed, prepare a private profile draft. Submission does not make your information public or enrol you in a newsletter.
If you use “Save draft” on the artist form, the draft is stored in that browser tab’s session storage. It is removed after a successful submission or when you clear it. Avoid saving private details on a shared device.
Purchases and downloads
Merchandise checkout takes place on Paystack and digital-guide checkout on Gumroad. Their checkout and privacy notices explain their handling of payment information. Order details needed to fulfil or support your purchase may be shared with Orange Poetry. This website’s enquiry form does not collect card details.
The services involved
The website is hosted through OpenAI Sites and Cloudflare. Cloudflare Turnstile checks form submissions for abuse; Resend delivers website emails; team email accounts handle correspondence. These providers may process technical information such as IP addresses, browser details and delivery logs, and may process data outside Nigeria.
We use request information and limited anti-abuse records to protect the forms. YouTube receives a connection when you choose to load an embedded playlist. Following links to Paystack, Gumroad, Tix Africa, Pixieset or social platforms takes you to services with their own privacy notices.
Our use of your information depends on the interaction: your consent for newsletters and stated application permissions, responding to your request or fulfilling an agreed service, and protecting the website from abuse. Records may also be needed to resolve an order issue or meet applicable record-keeping obligations.
How long information remains
Enquiries and applications may remain in email records while the team handles the request and related follow-up. Order records may be needed for fulfilment, accounting or disputes. Subscription records remain while you are subscribed or where needed to record an unsubscribe. We do not promise automatic deletion of email records or expired signup requests.
Contact us to ask what we hold or request deletion. Some records may need to be retained for a specific legal or operational reason; we will explain that if it applies.
Ask about your information
Email orangepoetryofficial@gmail.com to request access, correction or deletion, withdraw consent, or raise a concern. Include the email address you used and enough context to locate the request, but do not send identity documents unless we agree a suitable verification method with you.
Depending on the applicable law, you may also have rights to object, restrict processing or receive a portable copy of your information. You can raise a concern with the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.
